YOUR GUIDE: Your angling guide, Jaimie McDonough, has fished these waters since childhood and guided anglers for fifteen years. Stalking wild native rainbow trout is his passion. Charlotte Lake and Atnarko River Charlotte Lake is a crystal-clear mountain lake 12 km (7.5 miles) long and 8 km (5 miles) wide and lies in a large basin at the foot of the Chilcotin Coast Mountain range, forming the headwaters of the Atnarko River. Our Charlotte Lake Fishing Camp is located right on the shore of the lake, with a spectacular view of the snow-clad mountains of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park. Both fly-fishing and spin-casting produce lusty, wild trout from the Atnarko River and Little Charlotte Lake. The main lake produces big rainbows to ten pounds. We operate a well-equipped, 23 ft., covered boat and a 17 ft. fishing boat. Both include a professional angling guide to give you trolling, spin casting and fly-fishing options for an exceptional angling holiday. The fishing at the outlet on the Atnarko River, and down stream at Little Charlotte, and Baby Charlotte Lakes, where there is no road access, is really superb. The cold clear water produces brilliant silver, hard fighting wild rainbow trout. This is a softer angling adventure, in authentic Western style, suitable for all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves on being very flexible to suit the needs of our clients. Accommodations are in large, comfortable wall tents and cooking is done over the campfire. We have radio and satellite telephone communications, if required. This trip is great for families, couples and groups of friends or business associates. A maximum of ten persons per trip assures you of a quality, personal experience at a very special retreat. RV sites are available as well with prior reservations. Fly-in fishing
Accommodation is in tents and meals are prepared for you over the fire. We use the finest, locally-produced, fresh food. You can fly and spin-cast for native rainbow trout right out of camp. This is primarily a catch-and-release fishery. We have watercraft on the lakes and you'll have the whole place to yourself, and lots of scrappy, rainbow trout.
