A list of what to brinbg on your wilderness adventure


  • Sleeping bag (rated for at least 0°C. or 32°F.)
  • Sleeping pad (Thermarest or high density foam)
  • Broad brimmed cap or hat
  • Bandana or scarf
  • 2 warm shirts
  • Two pairs outdoor pants (jeans, etc.)
  • Sturdy, comfortable boots for riding and walking
  • Comfortable shoes for relaxing around camp
  • Warm socks, at least two pairs
  • Warm jacket (with windbreaker shell, preferably rain-proof)
  • Compact rain pants (just in case)
  • Gloves
  • Toilet articles and towel
  • Insect repellant
  • Camera
  • Binoculars
  • Flashlight
  • Fishing gear (if desired)

All this gear should be packed in a waterproof duffel bag which can go on a horse. Rigid suitcases are difficult to pack on a packsaddle! Total weight should not exceed 50 lbs. If you don't have a fishing license, you can get one upon your arrival in Anahim or Nimpo Lake.

One Eye Outfit provides everything else: tents, tack, cots, meals, air charter, boats and ground transportation.
