Our Mission: to conserve, protect and share the natural beauty of the wilderness, in a spirit of stewardship. One Eye Outfit is a family business which has provided high quality wilderness vacations for international travelers since 1980. Our exclusive area covers 650 square miles and is located 250 air miles north of Vancouver, B.C. on the sunny east slope of the Chilcotin Coast Mountains. We border on the southeast corner of Tweedsmuir Park, B.C.'s largest wilderness park and wildlife refuge. We are a provincially-certified Guide-Outfitting service and a 25-year member of the Guide-Outfitters Association of British Columbia. Our guides and staff are all professional, experienced and knowledgeable local personnel.
Our primary base camp is located on Charlotte Lake. In addition, we operate five other camps which give you access to the vast alpine area of the Charlotte Alplands, where you'll find the highest concentration of alpine lakes in British Columbia.
Our trips are suitable for people of all ages; no previous riding experience is necessary. Camaraderie around the campfire, the thrill of sighting a grizzly or a mountain caribou, the peace and serenity of the wilderness setting, and awe at the sight of the brilliant night sky so far away from city lights will be memories for the rest of your life. Many of our clients report a sense of wellbeing that they have never experienced before. Getting to know your horse as a trusted friend, realizing that you haven't seen another human being outside your party for days, or catching a big wild rainbow trout on a fly may be your thing. Whatever it is, we can promise you an exceptional experience. Here's what some of our clients wrote:
